This Ayia Napa beach has a very relaxed atmosphere with a bar and restaurant, water sports available, toilets, shower and lifeguard between the hours of 10am till 6pm. For the historians amongst you there are also the Macronissos tombs situated within a couple of minutes walk from the ayai napa beach. This site was excavated in 1989 and is dated around the Hellenistic and Roman periods. A small sanctuary located to the east of the burial grounds and a total of nineteen rock-cut tombs can been seen and close by is an ancient quarry. Between Macronissos and Nissi is Landa beach. The sand is fabulous and has been given the nickname ‘Golden Beach'. Its tempo is a little bit calmer than Nissi beach with a few bars and all the required amenities at hand. It is an excellent beach for all age groups with a relaxed atmosphere. On the Larnaca side of Ayia Napa is Ayia Thekla beach. It is a delightful beach with a very tiny island that you can walk to like Nissi beach but on a miniature scale. It name Ayia Thekla derived from the small church on the edge of the beach. It is a quieter ayia napa beach with all facilities and along with the above mentioned beaches has been awarded the blue flag. A beautiful village close to Potamos the famous little fishing village where you can eat the traditional Cyprus meze together with the fresh fish caught that day. At the Limanaki end of the beach there is a small marina where you can treat your self to a boat trip and gaze upon the Ayia Napa shore line. You will be spoilt for choice by the various fish restaurants all situated around the harbour or on the beach.
